What we preserve
Audio
Compact cassettes, 8-track, vinyl LPs, 45s, and 78s transferred to digital files.
Photographs
Loose prints up to 8×10 scanned at $0.55 each. Album work is possible, with extra care and extra cost when photos are glued in.
How it works
This is a mail-order service. You do not need to visit in person.
Create an order — tell us what you are sending and which services you want. You will get a unique RetroReel order number.
Pack your media — print the order sheet, put it in the box, and pack tapes, records, and photos so they travel safely.
Mail to RetroReel — ship the package to RetroReel, PO Box 51, Elma, MB R0E 0Z0. Shipping is arranged by you for now.
Inspected & digitized — we assess the media, then transfer what can be recovered.
Invoice & payment — the site total is an estimate only. The final invoice comes after assessment. Pay by PayPal or e-transfer before return shipping.
Files and originals returned — digital copies plus originals (where they can still be returned) come back to you.
